Spanish Dance: The biggest set of dances in the world!
Spanish dancing was born many centuries ago as a need for communication between the ancient inhabitants oh Hispania. The invasions, cultures exchange, influences of other dances through the centuries passed, have led to the current concept of Spanish Dance, which is divided into four main groups:- Folklore: Popular balls and dances, festivals,
all limited to daily life activities: Jota and fandangos are regional dances.
- Bolero School: Balls and dances of the Spanish court of XVII-XVIII centuries, are very technical, with a charming and seductive style well defined and involve the birth of dance schools and the professionalization of this art. It is characterized by the use of castanets and the difficulty in execution.

- Stylized Dance: choreography born in the XX century to play freely with the music of the great classic Spanish compositors ( Falla, Albéniz, Granados, Lecuona, etc.). Currently any music can be used for stylized dance choreography, and we can see it in theaters worldwide. It is characterized by elegance and neatness in execution, and the use of elements like the castanets, the shawl, fan, hat, etc..
